ABOUT FRANCHESKA

If I were to describe myself in two words, it would be:

Movement Enthusiast.

Throughout my life I have always maintained an active lifestyle, picking up various sports and hobbies along the way.

At the age of three, I began taking my first dance lessons and continued dancing into my teens. Some of my favorite pastimes and hobbies are breakdancing, flag football, rollerblading, and cycling. Staying active has always been something that I utilize to combat pain from my scoliosis as well as minor injuries I have acquired over the years.

While in college at the University of Central Florida, my “active lifestyle” was no longer adequate enough to offset my bad diet, that’s when I formally began studying and practicing fitness training, particularly strength and conditioning, to learn how to properly train and reach my goals. After taking my first Exercise Sports Science class, I was sold!

I wanted to know everything and anything related to the body, and in particular how to move in a more functional way.

In 2015, I graduated with a degree in Sociology and Exercise Sports Science. Since then, I have continued to expand my knowledge, applying new training techniques, as well as learning from some of the best coaches in the industry, which has led me to become a certified ONNIT Academy Coach and ANIMAL FLOW Instructor.

Over the years, my own training has begun to evolve into more of my personal “playtime” as I love to mix fun routines into my traditional lifts. Other than the enjoyable aspect of bodyweight training and flowing, there are tremendous benefits that come along with it.

Bodyweight training forces you to be present, to breathe, and nonetheless work hard! I enjoy mixing bodyweight movements from various practices. Animal Flow, Modern Dance, traditional Ballet, and plyometric training are some examples of various influences on my movement practice.

My mission in life is to never stop learning, so that I can share my knowledge on improving quality of life through movement.

Today, I have the opportunity to share my training philosophy and movement practice with others through in-person coaching, educational workshops, movement retreats, and creating programs to empower others to take ownership of their bodies.
